Specifications and screenshots of the Doksy-Kruh organ (1627) - Hauptwerk

  • Each pipe of the instrument was sampled one by one including the original reverberation of the room.
  • The reverberation is rather short, 1-2 seconds. A "moist" sample set.
  • All the processing took place in 24 bit depth at 48kHz rate.  As the organ was in perfect condition there was not much wind leakage resulting in very clear sound requiring almost no denoising. The "presence" of the sound could be, therefore, well preserved.
  • Multiple loops in each sample (at least 3 loops per sample).
  • The mean tone tuning was preserved. The Hauptwerk version 2 allows re-tuning the samples "on-the-fly" according to the wish of the performer.
  • The sample set is available in 24 bit depth and 48 kHz sample rate.
  • The compass of the manual is C1-C5, pedal C1-C3. The compass may be extended digitally in Hauptwerk.
  • The RAM consumption when fully loaded: 943 MB.
  • Requires 973x827 px screen resolution.
  • The individual ranks of the instrument can be used to form custom user organs.

Specifications and screenshots of the Doksy-Kruh organ (1627)

Each pipe of the instrument was sampled one by one including the original reverberation of the room which is smaller in size. The reverberation is rather short, 1-2 seconds. All the processing took place in 24 bit depth at 48kHz rate.  As the organ was in perfect condition there was not much wind leakage resulting in very clear sound requiring almost no denoising. The "presence" of the sound could be, therefore, well preserved. In other words, this sample set is optimized for clean and live sound - both together.

The sample set is completely prepared for the Hauptwerk version 2 with multiple loops in each sample (at least 3 loops per sample). It will be available when HW 2 appears. The mean tone tuning was preserved. The Hauptwerk version 2 will allow to re-tune the samples "on-the-fly" according to the wish of the performer.

Only at the very end all the samples were downsampled to suit Hauptwerk version 1 specifications (16 bits, 44.1kHz, 1 loop). The compass of manual is C1-C5, pedal C1-C3. The compass will be extended as follows: manual 36-C to 89-F, pedal 36-C to 65-F when the Hauptwerk version 2 appears. There are several organ definition files (ODF) derived from the sound material of the organ:
